I want to live in a world where people are always kind, naps are required, and kitchens clean themselves. Also, everything should be quilted or knitted to resemble the background of Kirby’s Epic Yarn. If this beautiful world can only exist in my imagination, so be it. I spend a lot of time there anyway.
Who am I? Wouldn’t I like to know! In my 46 years I’ve unearthed this much: I’m a reader, a writer, a thinker, an Earl Grey tea drinker. I’m a girl, a wo!man, a daughter, a wife, a mama/mom (my kids say these are not the same thing). In 2016 I added a few new monikers – homeschooler, quilter, book editor (to my daughter the author), iTunes enabler (to my daughter the DJ. That’s it in a nutshell.
The more I think, the more I write. The more I write, the more I learn. I hope you enjoy reading and learning along with me.
If you’re interested in my formal education/experience, here’s what I’m working with: I have a BA in Psychology, an MSW, and about 20 years experience in social services, community development, and nonprofit miscellany.
My informal education is too vast to describe here – I’ve got a few bruises like everyone else. I’ve been a mom for over 15 years now. Parenting is by far the best learning experience I’ve ever had.
When I’m not writing, you can find me baking cookies, quilting, or binge watching some awesome sci-fi/fantasy TV show with my husband and kiddos.
Let’s be friends!
